Laurie as been with TinFish since its inception, having performed various functions, but focused on publicity and marketing before taking on the role of Managing director in 1995. Now she focuses on grant applications, theatre/space rentals, marketing, publicity and overseeing aspects of the theatrical production process. She has stage managed Marriage, No Exit, Don't Drink the Water, Prometheus Bound and most recently, The Good Doctor.  In addition, she house managed for the Woman's Theatre Alliance New Plays Festival, 1997. Recently, Laurie has been involved in the film production business, working on several independent films in the Chicago land area. the positions she has held include Extras Coordinator for Gifthouse Productions, Apples and Oranges, production Coordinator for Jihaad Filmwords, Forgive Me For Murder (Occam's Razor), and Second Assistant Director for Desperation Inc., Desperation Boulevard, featuring Judy Tenuta.

Outside of the entertainment and arts field, Laurie has done publicity for several functions for the Greek Women's University Club, including their 25th anniversary Dinner Dance and their annual scholarship arts luncheon, providing scholarship money to up and coming musical artists of Greek descent.

In 1989, Laurie received her Bachelor of Arts in Communication. In 1995, she received her Masters of Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing, as well as Ethics. Both degrees were granted from Loyola University in Chicago. She has interned at the British Direct Marketing Association in the UK, as well as Windy City Sports as a sports marketing intern.
