Internship Program

TinFish Theatre's Internship Program offers the opportunity for you to work in Chicago's professional theater scene. As an intern, you have the opportunity to work with TinFish's founders, administrators, and company members in a variety of projects. These projects can include production and/or design assistance, marketing, public relations, fund raising, benefit planning, house managing, tech work and web design.

If you wish to receive academic credit for your internship with TinFish, it is your responsibility to secure all materials and make arrangements with your school. TinFish Theatre will provide you with any necessary job descriptions, schedules and/or evaluations. In return, TinFish asks that you evaluate your experience with TinFish Theatre so we can continue to improve our internship program. All internships are unpaid positions. However, TinFish will provide letters of recommendation and referrals in the Chicago business and theater community. In addition, after your internship is over, you may be hired to work for TinFish in elements of design, tech or performance. TinFish theater is a nonprofit organization and a member of The League of Chicago Theaters.

To be considered for an internship position please provide us with the following:

  1. A cover letter expressing your interest and expectations in the TinFish Theatre Internship Program.

  2. Your resume.

  3. Two references or letters of recommendation.

  4. Any other supporting material for TinFish's staff.
